1. Bystander killed: IHIT have been called in after a shooting in Abbotsford that left an elderly bystander dead. Police say the man was standing by his fence when a shooting targeting a nearby neighbour caught him in the crossfire.
2. Tragedy near Turkey: A Vancouver-area woman tried to bring four family members to Canada only to have their sponsorship request. Five-year-old Galip Kurdi, three-year-old Aylan and their mother Rehan drowned off the coast of Turkey on Wednesday.

4. Recovery: A bow hunter is recovering in hospital after being mauled by a grizzly outside Cranbrook on Tuesday. The man attempted to yell at the bear to scare it away only for the animal to charge in his direction.
5. Wildlife fine: The lawyer representing the Portugese man fined for hitting a swimming deer off the B.C. coast said his client was trying to be macho in an unfamiliar setting. Rodolfo Lopes pleaded guilty to harassing wildlife and must donate $5,000 to a wildlife trust.
