The BC Coroners Service has identified the three women killed Sunday morning in a horrific accident on the Malahat Highway.
The deceased are 30-year-old Pheat Top, 19-year-old Diane Muriel Lacasca Bocacao and 16-year-old Gene Kloie Resu Jamisola, all Nanaimo residents.
Their families have been notified.
The three women were travelling between Duncan and Victoria with two other people when the collision occurred at around 11:30 a.m.
Authorities say the roads were wet and visibility poor when a small Honda crossed the centre line and crashed into a pickup truck.
Top, Bocacao and Jamisola died at the scene, while five others were hospitalized.
Two of the survivors were initially listed in critical condition and three were stable.
Their current conditions are unknown.
