The Green Men, the spandex-wearing, handstand-flipping Vancouver Canucks super-fans, will be inducted into ESPN’s Hall of Fans, the duo announced Wednesday.

While it appears on the ESPN website that only one of the two – Sully – has been given the honour, the duo maintain on their Twitter account that both Sully and Force have been inducted into the inaugural class.

“Just got word we actually won the Grand Prize in the @ESPN #HallofFans! We share this induction with all of you. Thank you for your votes,” the pair tweeted.

The other two inductees are a Baltimore Ravens fan known as Captain Dee-Fense, and a University of Alabama softball fan called Emily P.

ESPN says fans will be inducted in a ceremony on Sept. 19, where they will receive plaques and gift certificates. They will also be featured in an ESPN magazine in October.

The Green Men gained fame back in 2009 when they began donning one-piece, skin-tight green suits at Vancouver Canucks games, hoping to distract the opposing team with their bright attire and acrobatics while pumping up Canucks fans.
