Vancouver is a top tourist destination for sightseeing, watersports and, if a new survey holds weight, having an illicit affair.
In a new survey released by online dating site SeekingArrangements.com, the City of Glass was rated the top vacation destination in Canada to have an illicit affair.
Not only is the city rated tops in Canada, it also ranks quite highly worldwide, taking the eighth most popular spot worldwide for cheaters on vacation.
In a survey of 73,000 male and female self-professed cheaters, Paris is the best destination for a secret rendezvous – almost 2,200 cheaters said they’d visit the City of Love this summer.
Other top-ranked destinations include Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, and Palm Springs, California.
The dating site says adulterers capitalize on the warm summer season by “squeezing in illicit love affairs amidst packed social calendars and business trips.”
But keeping those rendezvous secret isn’t always easy. Sixty-four per cent of cheaters in the survey admitted to travelling separately from their lover to their cheating destination.

This isn't the first time Vancouver has earned a distinction for all things dubious.
Last year, SeekingArrangement.com said Vancouver is the ‘Sugar Daddy’ capital of the country.
It found that Vancouver Sugar Daddies spent $4,307 monthly on their younger counterparts on average, more than anywhere else in the country.
It also revealed that Vancouver Sugar Daddies are 40 years old and make $292,506 annually, on average.
