The countdown to Christmas is officially on.

One of Vancouver’s most popular radio stations has flipped the official holiday switch.

As of 9 a.m. Friday, QM/FM changed formats to all-Christmas music, “playing Christmas music all the time.”

This is the fourth year in the row the station, owned by Bell Media, which also owns CTV, has rebranded as “Vancouver’s Christmas Music Station.”

James Stuart, Bell Media’s regional vice president, says the format change has been massively popular since its introduction.

“Our receptionists have received tons of calls from listeners wondering when this would occur,” he said.

“It’s always great news when your audience is waiting for this kind of move.”
