Two men have been arrested after a suspected homicide in Aldergrove Wednesday evening.

The RCMP responded to a disturbance complaint near 276th Street and 32nd Avenue around 9 p.m. and discovered a man with severe head injuries.

"One male was unresponsive on the ground," said RCMP Inspector Konrad Golbeck. "Emergency Health Services attended and transported him to a Langley hospital where he was pronounced deceased."

Two suspects were arrested at the scene. The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team, which has taken over the case, said neither of the men has a criminal record.

Their names won’t be released unless charges are approved against them.

Staff Sgt. Jennifer Pound said investigators are still working to identify the deceased and determine a motive in the killing.

“There is still a great deal of work required by our investigative team before we can piece the evidence together and obtain the many answers we require,” Pound said in a statement.

The cause of death is also unclear.

Anyone with information on the homicide is asked to call the IHIT tip line at 1-877-551-4448 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
