The Surrey, B.C., home of the man suspected in a shooting at a Sikh temple last month was targeted in a drive-by shooting early Monday morning.

Witnesses reported hearing several shots near Radio India owner Maninder Gill's home near 121 Street and 56 Avenue around 12:30 a.m. When police arrived, they discovered that the home had been damaged by numerous bullets.

No one was injured in the shooting.

Surrey RCMP say that they have yet to identify a suspect in the shooting, but are confident that it was targeted.

Gill told reporters Monday that he believes "separatists" in the Punjabi community are responsible for the drive-by.

Gill, 47, is charged in a shooting at the Guru Nanak Sikh Temple on Aug. 28. According to witnesses, the target of that shooting was businessman Harjit Atwal, who had a long-standing dispute with Gill over a series of inflammatory broadcasts made on his radio station.

Atwal suffered a non-life-threatening bullet wound to his upper thigh during that shooting.

Gill is now charged with aggravated assault, pointing a firearm, possessing a weapon for dangerous purposes, two counts of discharging a firearm with intent and unauthorized possession of a firearm.
