Suspects in custody after death of 19 year old in Whistler

WHISTLER, B.C. - Homicide investigators have taken several suspects into custody in relation to the death of a young man in Whistler, B.C., over the Victoria Day long weekend.

Whistler RCMP say they responded shortly after midnight on Sunday to reports of a seriously injured 19-year-old near Main Street.

The Mounties say he died after being taken to a clinic.

Officers have not released the man's identity but say he was from the Lower Mainland.

The province's coroners service and the Integrated Homicide Investigation Team are responding to the incident.
