Shots fired outside of Abbotsford home: police
A suspect is at large and authorities are appealing for information after shots were fired at an Abbotsford home early Sunday morning.
Police were called to the 31500 block of Harris Road just after 6:15 a.m., according to the Abbotsford Police Department.
"The initial investigation has determined that a property owner arrived to find a man on his property," police said.
"An interaction occurred between the owner of the property and a male suspect, resulting in the suspect discharging a firearm and fleeing on foot. No one was injured in this incident."
Police dogs and the emergency response team were called in to assist with the search, but the suspect was not found.
The man was wearing a black Quicksilver-branded hoodie, jeans and a light-coloured baseball hat when last seen, AbbyPD said.
"The Abbotsford Police Major Crime Unit is in the early stages of the investigation and believe this to be an isolated incident," police said.
"It is also requested that residents and citizens in the area remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity."
Anyone with information, as well as those with dash-cam video from Harris Road between Bates Road and Marin Way around the time of the incident, is urged to call 604-859-5225.
