Delta Police are investigating a shooting where a man has been reported to have been shot dead near the Delta Golf Course.
The victim was reported to have been shot in the head around 6:40 p.m.
Police quickly closed off a very large area near the Delta Golf Course. The investigation has closed 64th Avenue to traffic, from the Highway 91 turnoff near the park. Highway 10 -- Ladner Trunk Road -- is closed to all traffic at different locations from Highway 99 to Scott Road.
There are no suspects at this time, but police plan on scouring the scene for as long as it takes to gather evidence. The call came in to 911 as a suspicious occurrence -- and police are speaking to neighbours and looking for witnesses.
