Surrey RCMP are looking for a male suspect following a shooting incident at 67th Ave. and 127A St. last week that left one man paralyzed from the waist down after he was hit in the back.

Police say the initial investigation indicated that two males became engage in a verbal and then physical altercation on March 13th, at about 5:30 p.m. Once the physical fight was under way, a third male allegedly appeared and fired a hand gun striking the victim in the back, paralyzing him from the waist down.

Police believe the incident is drug-related, but have not been able to determine if there are any ties to any gang related issues.

Surrey RCMP have now laid criminal charges with regards to this event and are seeking the public's assistance in locating the suspect, who is charged with aggravated assault and discharging a firearm with intent to wound.

The suspect they are seeking is 22-year-old Jaspal "Jessie" Dhinsda of Surrey. This individual is considered armed and dangerous.
