New Westminster police are investigating after a man's body was found at a home Thursday morning.
Sgt. Diana McDaniel said police responded to a house in the 500-block of Colby Street at around 6:15 a.m.
McDaniel said the upstairs tenants of the home called police after hearing what sounded like four or five gunshots.
Police found the man's body in the basement suite and are trying to determine his identity and the cause of death.
McDaniel said there are no suspects and no people have been arrested but the death is being treated as suspicious.
