Police believe two pieces of clothing found at the scene of a brutal assault of a security guard two weeks ago in Port Coquitlam belong to the suspects.

Cpl. Jamie Chung said the attack happened at around 3:30 a.m. on Oct. 14 as Hoshiar Singh Bajwa, 65, was patrolling the site at Pitt River Community Middle School on Tyner Street.

“Our investigators continue to scour through the material we collected so far for evidence,” said Chung. “These jackets are pretty unique when you put them together. We are hoping someone can come forward with information on the owners of the jackets.”

Police said Bajwa was attacked by three men and beaten with a steel pipe.

He managed to call 911 and was found at around 3 a.m. with serious injuries to his eye and gashes that required more than 50 stitches on his face.

Anyone with information related to the jackets or the assault is asked to contact Port Coquitlam RCMP at 604-945-1550 or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-222-8477.
