One person has died in hospital after yesterday's plane crash outside Vancouver International Airport.
The aircraft carrying nine people slammed onto a road just outside the airport during Thursday's rush hour and burst into flames.
Vancouver Coastal Health Authority confirms that one person has died, two people are in intensive care and four are in serious but stable condition.
Two others have been treated and released from hospital.
Malcolm Brodie, the mayor of Richmond, B.C., where the crash occurred, says he's sad to hear about the death.
Brodie says he's asked the federal government several times to consider moving smaller planes to other regional airports and that after a third crash involving a small aircraft in recent years, it's time the situation is seriously looked at.
