A 14-year-old Nanaimo boy is missing after going on a weekend trip to Victoria two weeks ago.

RCMP say Michael Irwin was last seen March 3rd getting on a bus in Victoria that took him to Duncan, where he got off and used a pay phone to say he had missed his next bus.

Police say that's the last time he contacted anyone.

Irwin is 5 feet, 11 inches tall, weighs 145 pounds and is known to wear a tan snowboarder jacket, jeans and a grey toque.

And Mounties in Langford, near Victoria, are investigating the attempted abduction of seven-year-old boy at a fast-food restaurant.

Police say a man grabbed the boy while in the washroom Sunday night and told him "come with me.''

The boy escaped back to his father, while the would-be abductor vanished.

Police say they're looking for a Caucasian man, about 30 years old, with brown hair and brown eyes.
