Mounties in Prince George, B.C., are investigating the city's seventh homicide of the year after a man was shot dead in the street on Saturday afternoon.

RCMP say they arrived in the 2400-block of Oak Street around 3 p.m. to find a deceased man in the road.

Police secured the scene and spoke to several witnesses but failed to find a suspect.

The victim has not been identified.
