Vancouver Whitecaps FC revealed their new MLS 2011 jerseys Thursday morning, just two days after the club unveiled their new brand, logo and ticket pricing.

The introduction of the new jerseys also came with the announcement of the Whitecaps FC official sponsor for their inaugural MLS season.

Telecommunications giant, Bell, becomes the official sponsor and "Premier Founding Partner" of the Vancouver Whitecaps FC when they kick off as a new MLS club in 2011.

"The Whitecaps have had a great tradition in British Columbia, and we are extremely proud to partner with them and to be associated with such a premier club," said Wade Oosterman, President of Bell Mobility and Chief Brand Officer for Bell.

"Bell shares a passion for the sport and we're looking forward to sharing exclusive Whitecaps content with our soccer-loving mobile clients across Canada."

The new adidas uniforms are conveniently blue and white, the staple colours of both Bell and the Whitecaps.

"The new kits combine leading-edge technology, which will make for optimal performance on the pitch," said Whitecaps President Bob Lenarduzzi.

The fashion-forward outfits were modeled by Whitecaps captain Martin Nash and women's team striker Kara Lang to media when the announcement was made.

The new multi-year sponsorship deal will see all Whitecaps teams wear the new Bell-logo playing kit -- including men's, women's, residency and prospects teams.

As official sponsor Bell's logo is featured prominently across the chest of the jerseys. The new Whitecaps logo sits on the left breast, while an adidas patch sits on the top right.

The jerseys also sport a Canadian flag on the left arm and an MLS logo on the right arm.

"Soccer fans around the world take great pride in displaying their passion and loyalty for their favourite team by wearing their team's jersey on a regular basis," said Lenarduzzi.

"We believe both our many long-serving fans and new supporters of the club will proudly wear these new jerseys throughout Vancouver or wherever they may be around the globe."

Whitecaps history also played a role in the jersey design. On the back collar the text "Since 1974" is written as tribute to the team's first season in the North American Soccer League.

The deep sea blue lines across the jersey represent the lines in the water commonly seen on Vancouver's waterfront.

The secondary jersey is solid deep sea blue and incorporates the diamond-shaped mountain ‘Caps logo into its design.

Fans can pre-order the new Whitecaps uniforms and other new Whitecaps branded items at whitecapsfc.com. The new uniforms will be available for purchase this November.
