A 77-year-old man who was reported missing Tuesday has been found safe, say Vancouver police.

The senior went missing after being seen near East 12th Avenue and Glen Drive around 6 a.m., prompting a search effort.

Authorities initially said the man's disappearance was out of character, that he might be confused or disoriented.

The Vancouver Police Department confirmed he was found safe Tuesday night.
