A Vancouver man died early Thursday after being stabbed in a high-end Yaletown apartment.
Const. Jana McGuinness says the murder happened inside an 18th floor suite at 1067 Marinaside Crescent, close to the Vancouver seawall.
After being called by a resident, B.C. Ambulance arrived at the building around midnight to find a man suffering serious stab wounds. He was rushed to hospital but died several hours later.
Two women inside the suite were taken into police custody for questioning, but have since been released.
"They have been interviewed, they've cooperated fully and the investigation has proceeding," she said.
No arrests have been made and McGuinness says investigators are still trying to piece together what happened.
"It's still unclear as to what led up to the altercation and the stabbing," she said.
The man's identity has not been released.
This is Vancouver's 14th homicide of 2009.
