A middle-aged man is in critical condition after being gunned down outside his Surrey home Tuesday night.
The shooting took place near 155 Street and 86 Avenue at around 7:30 p.m., after the victim had walked outside to check on a disturbance.
Police say he approached a small group of men, and one of them shot him several times. Reports suggest he was hit in the stomach or chest.
He was taken to Royal Columbian Hospital and spent several hours in surgery.
Investigators said the victim is known to police and it's not clear if he knew his attackers.
People inside the house have not been fully cooperating with investigators.
No suspect descriptions have been released.
