B.C.'s Integrated Homicide Investigation Team has been called in to probe the discovery of a woman's body in an Abbotsford apartment.
Abbotsford police found the deceased woman in a suite on Austin Avenue after being alerted around 7 p.m. Wednesday.
The Abbotsford Police Department's Major Crimes Unit and Forensic Identification Unit concluded the death was suspicious after surveying the scene.
Officers conducted interviews and collected evidence late into the night before the case was turned over to IHIT.
The victim is a 34-year-old Abbotsford resident. Her name is not being released.
It is not believed the death is drug or gang-related and police say there is no danger to the public.
