Three women were transported to hospital Friday afternoon, after a three car pile-up near the University of Saskatchewan.

Around 12:30 p.m., ambulances arrived at the scene on 108th St, just outside of the Crop Science building. Three vehicles collided head on, sending a 19-year old and a 53-year-old to hospital in stable condition, while ambulances took a 20-year-old woman to hospital in serious condition. Two of the patients had to be removed from their vehicles by the fire department.

With the dangerous road conditions, MD Ambulance spokesperson Troy Davies warns drivers to take extra caution on slippery streets.

"With the change in the weather the city streets have become extremely slippery and several vehicles have hit the ditch on Circle Drive," said Davies. "We are extremely busy with accidents and are asking the public to slow down and drive with caution."
