A friendly deer that made international headlines after it was filmed nuzzling a boy in Coldstream has been euthanized by conservation officers.
The two-point buck was believed to have been human-raised, and was spotted a number of times by North Okanagan residents who said it had little fear of humans.
Conversation officers said they destroyed the deer because, as mating season approaches, it had potential to become aggressive and unpredictable.
A YouTube video of the deer sauntering up to Miles Higgins and rubbing its antlers on him went viral, drawing more than 500,000 views and even getting airtime on Good Morning America.
