CHILLIWACK, B.C. - RCMP in Chilliwack, B.C., say the discovery of a human fetus in the washroom of a fast food restaurant will not result in a criminal investigation.

Mounties say the matter has been turned over to the B.C. Coroners Service and that any further information must come from that office.

A customer found the remains in a Tim Hortons washroom on Saturday afternoon.

An investigation began Saturday and the coroner has not commented on the gestational age of the fetus.

There is no word on the whereabouts of the mother or her condition.

Tim Hortons has issued a statement saying the Fraser Valley outlet is dealing with authorities and will have no further comment.
