The truck driver who struck and killed a toddler being walked by her mother in a stroller near Rogers Arena last summer has been charged with dangerous driving.

The 32-year-old mother was crossing the intersection of Abbott St. and Expo Boulevard mid-day on Aug. 26, 2010, when she and her child were struck by a flatbed truck making a right hand turn.

The tot died at the scene and the woman suffered serious injuries.

After a year-long investigation, Vancouver police announced charges Wednesday morning against William Mah, the driver of the vehicle.

Mah, a Coquitlam resident, is charged with dangerous driving causing death and dangerous driving causing bodily harm.
