COQUITLAM, B.C. -- A double shooting in Coquitlam, B.C., has sent two people to hospital.

RCMP say there are few details of the late night attack in the Vancouver suburb.

They say a man and woman are injured, but their names or conditions have not been confirmed.

Both victims were found in a residential area in Coquitlam's northeast corner, near Westwood Plateau, and Insp. Davy Lee says there may be a second crime scene related to the attack.

He says officers have roped off the parking lot of a MacDonald's restaurant about 15 kilometres away, after finding a vehicle with stolen licence plates.

Lee couldn't say how the discovery could be linked to the shooting.
