This year Canada is one of the featured countries at the popular Celebration of Light fireworks show.
The 23rd annual event will also highlight firework exhibitions from Britain and Thailand. Around 400,000 people take in the spectacle from English Bay each night.
Paul Tilbury, of the Vancouver Festival Society said firework enthusiasts can enjoy a full day of events before the fireworks.
"We encourage festival fans to come to the event early in the day to take in the activities at Sunset Beach, which will include cultural performances, plenty of food vendors, Urban Rec beach volleyball tournament and of course plenty of free, live music."
Last year’s show won the award for Best Festival in Canada at the Canadian Event Industry National Star Awards.
The shows will take place July 27, July 31 and Aug. 3.
