A brazen daylight shooting on a major Vancouver road appears to have been targeted, police say.

Officers are still trying to figure out why somebody shot at a 32-year-old man on Southeast Marine Drive yesterday.

He was driving a car in the 1700-block of Southeast Marine Drive at around 3:30 p.m. when a gunman opened fire from another vehicle.

The man is in stable condition and is expected to recover. Police said they’re familiar with the victim, but haven’t provided any other details.

Any witnesses who saw the two cars are asked to call the Vancouver Police Department’s Major Crime Unit at 604-717-2541
