An 11-year-old boy was airlifted to hospital after being knocked unconscious by a pick-up truck in Aldergrove, B.C. on Friday.

At around 3 p.m. Langley RCMP were called to the 27000-block of 29th Avenue and found the young boy, who was still breathing, suffering from head injuries.

The woman who had been driving the vehicle stayed at the crash site following the collision.

Police say the driver was likely headed westbound on 29th Avenue when two boys ran across the street while not using a crosswalk. The other boy was not injured.

Cpl. Holly Marks said in a release that speed and alcohol are not being considered factors in the crash.
