She reports on breaking news, politics, culture, health, race and inequality. In addition to CTV News, Tessa freelances for a variety of news wire services and magazines, and some of her early COVID-19 reporting for Reuters was published in the New York Times.
Prior to working at CTV News, she was a staff reporter for the Toronto Star's B.C. bureau, Star Vancouver.
Tessa began her career reporting on youth and LGBTQ+ issues and she continues to report on topics that affect marginalized and oppressed communities.
She is a graduate of McGill University and Langara College's journalism program.
