He began his career as a news videographer, working his way across Canada with stops in Winnipeg, Saskatoon, Edmonton and now Vancouver.
His love of sports made his transition easy from news to documenting local sports for CTV News.
Gary's strength is storytelling. His passion, knowledge and work ethic are what make his stories memorable. He captures the personal story and brings it to life with compelling images and sound.
He was handpicked by CTV to be a part of the Winter Olympics in Vancouver then in 2012 travelled to London for the Summer Games.
Throughout his career, he's worked on Discovery Channel documentaries as a director of photography sending him around the globe. He has an extensive background shooting live sporting events such as NHL games and numerous Grey Cups.
Now as a multi-skilled journalist, he is able to produce, shoot, write and edit stories for CTV News Vancouver.
