Cristina Carpio
ContactCristina Carpio is the traffic anchor and a segment host on CTV Morning Live in Vancouver.
A broadcast-journalism graduate, Cristina is no stranger to the CTV network, having worked as a reporter for CTV News Northern Ontario. She also interned and was an editorial assistant at Global News Toronto. She shared her expertise as a food and beverage/lifestyle expert at some of the morning shows in Toronto.
Over the course of her career, she has contributed articles to international media platforms, was a columnist for Food and Beverage Magazine and emceed at some of Toronto’s most notable food and entertainment events.
Cristina is a Filipino-Canadian, entrepreneur and philanthropist, working in the media and lifestyle space for more than 10 years, working with top luxury brands and collaborating with many top creatives, contributors and some of Canada’s leading networks and talents.
More recently, Cristina was editor-in-chief for MarQuee Magazine, a lifestyle magazine distributed across the U.S. and Canada. Cristina strives to make a difference and believes in promoting inclusion and diversity in Canada when she can. She directed and hosted the first-ever virtual Asian Food Festival in Canada in 2020, as well as other initiatives.
Cristina has been awarded the Top 40 Under 40 for business achievement by Business Media Link Group, the Hero of Business Award from the Canadian Multicultural Council-Asians in Ontario, and the Service Award from the Universal Peace Federation, among other recognitions. This year, she was honoured to be included in the prestigious Top 50 Canadian Immigrant Awards. Cristina is an active member of the Asian community in Canada and has worked with not-for-profit groups and underrepresented communities for almost two decades.
In her spare time, she loves doing yoga, walking and checking out the hottest restaurants. She is also obsessed with her dog Snow White and a mom to Dannica, who is currently pursuing a musical theatre program in college. Cristina moved from Toronto to Vancouver and cannot wait to explore B.C.!
