Drivers are being urged to steer clear of Marine Drive in West Vancouver during the morning rush as fire crews mop up after an overnight blaze.
Flames have severely damaged a popular Greek restaurant on the second floor of a building in the 1300-block of Marine Drive -- and the westbound lanes of the busy street remain closed.
The fire broke out just after 10 p.m. last night and although it is not considered suspicious, fire investigators will be examining the scene through the morning, and assessing the safety of the building.
No one was hurt but two tenants in an adjoining building had to be moved to a hotel overnight as a precaution.
