Vancouver police say the second of four high-risk sex offenders who has walked away from a halfway house in the past two weeks has been arrested, but two remain on the lam.

Gary Vogrig, 51, was arrested Wednesday night shortly before 7 p.m. after being spotted drinking near Second Beach in Stanley Park, according to Const. Brian Montague.

Earlier this week, police issued a public warning about the convict, who has an extensive criminal history involving charges of assault, sexual assault, unlawful confinement and robbery.

He was on a statutory release after serving a four year, six month sentence for sexual assault and threatening.

Two offenders remain outstanding: Timothy Daniel Jones, 48, and Gerard Richard McLean, 46, are both wanted on Canada-wide warrants.

The fourth offender, Richard Galt, 46, was captured in Abbotsford.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of any of the men is advised not to approach them, and asked to call 911 immediately.
