A Vancouver woman is living every photographer’s nightmare after a laptop containing thousands of wedding photos was stolen from her car.

Photographer Jourdan Tymkow said the electronic device held photos from two different weddings, and she hadn’t backed up any of them.

“One of the hardest things I’ve had to do in my whole life is call the bride and tell her she's not getting her wedding photos,” she told CTV News.

“Two weddings won’t get to see their photos… That’s priceless stuff.”

She’s offering a $500 reward to get the laptop back, much more than she says the 2005 Macbook is worth.

Newlyweds Caitlin Henderson and Jim Belant, who have lost all the photos from their nuptials earlier this month, are offering another $500.

They’re begging whoever took the laptop from outside the Burnaby Lake Rowing Pavilion to turn it tin.

“We would love to see our photos. It’s pretty high on our priority list,” said Henderson.

This isn’t the first time a wedding photographer has fallen victim to theft. Last summer a photographer had his gear swiped from Stanley Park during the ceremony.

That story ended in an arrest but the victims in this case say that's not the ending their looking for.

“We’re not angry, we don’t hold any grudges,” said Henderson.

They're asking whoever has their photos to hand them over -- no questions asked.

“There's a lot of good photos in there...we're optimistic,” said Henderson.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Henderson at cehend@uvic.ca or Burnaby RCMP at 604-294-7922.
