Mounties are searching for a suspect after a man was stabbed multiple times in Surrey Thursday afternoon.

Officers found the victim after being called to the 16300-block of 88th Avenue around 2:30 p.m.

The man was taken to hospital for treatment. His condition has not been confirmed.

No suspects have been arrested but the RCMP said officers are interviewing witnesses and canvassing the area for further information.

Reports that people heard shots fired in the area have not been confirmed, Mounties said.
