Lynda Steele’s popular consumer show returns to CTV this weekend.

Season 2 of the half-hour Steele on Your Side weekly series debuts at 5:30 p.m. PT Sunday on CTV Vancouver.

“We’re really excited to be back on BNN and CTV this fall, bringing viewers a weekly roundup of all the top consumer news from coast to coast," Steele said.

The show is an expansion of Steele’s award-winning nightly consumer segments for CTV News at Six, and aims to help Canadians make informed decisions about the issues that affect their pocketbooks.

The production will also air on the Business News Network, Canada's leading source for business and finance news.

“Lynda’s in-depth investigations put consumer issues at the forefront, helping Canadians avoid scams and stay informed about important consumer news," said Grant Ellis, General Manager, BNN.

In this season’s inaugural episode, Steele on Your Side investigates one of the most annoying plagues to hit Canadian consumers: overseas telemarketers.

Steele looks at how widespread the problem is, and how national regulators are going after the people responsible. The probe comes as WestJet, one of Canada’s largest airlines has its name co-opted by phone scammers.

The episode also examines one of the biggest food trends sweeping the country – bulletproof coffee – and how the buttery blend is going down with health-conscious consumers.

Finally, Steele visits a luxury hotel that’s rolling out the red carpet for its canine customers – offering five-star treatment to four-legged guests.

New episodes we be airing Sundays at 5:30 p.m. PT on CTV Vancouver, just before CTV News at Six, and nationally on BNN at 10:30 a.m. PT Saturdays and 5:30 p.m. PT Sundays.
