The brother of serial murderer Robert Pickton says he can't remember what happened more than 20 years ago when a woman says he assaulted her and threatened her with rape and murder.

David Pickton was reacting to a civil suit filed yesterday in B.C. Supreme Court that alleges he assaulted a worker at a construction site in Burnaby in August 1991 and, when she went to police, her job was terminated and a fellow employee warned her she would be killed if she did not move away.

The woman, who is not being named, says in her suit that she is just recovering from the mental and emotional issues she suffered after the incident and is able to proceed with legal action.

Her civil suit contains allegations that have not been proven in court.
