Richmond Maritime Festival

The Richmond Maritime Festival returns to the beautiful Steveston waterfront on Saturday and Sunday, August 12 and 13. This year’s festival will be bigger than ever with a tribute to wooden boats, roving characters, visual artists, puppets, storytellers and more. From performances on multiple stages to spontaneous encounters, the festival provides a unique and engaging summer experience. There’s fun for all ages with a wide variety of maritime themed activities including log rolling demonstrations, ship viewing opportunities, live entertainment and more.

Meet pirates, mermaids and other colourful characters. Explore and discover our West Coast maritime past in the many heritage buildings and exhibits throughout the 8-acre Britannia Shipyards Historic Site. Enjoy a free feature performance by Good for Grapes There will also be a fleet of food trucks on site to satisfy any appetite.

Presented by the Port of Vancouver, the Richmond Maritime Festival will run from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Saturday, August 12 and 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 13. Admission is free. For more details, visit: richmondmaritimefestival.ca
