Someone is shooting cattle in the north Okanagan and the owners of the Coldstream Ranch have posted a reward, hoping to catch the poachers.

Three cows have been killed -- and two have been butchered - over the last several weeks, including one found yesterday on a forest service road.

Police say the hind quarters of the cow were taken but the rest left at the scene -- while a spokesman for the ranch says the losses are adding up because each animal is worth as much as three-thousand dollars.

In the first incident in July, a cow was shot but police say her calf has never been found -- and they are urging anyone with information to come forward.
