A retired B.C. Mountie charged with killing his common-law wife is back behind bars after he allegedly violated the conditions of his bail.

Keith Gregory Wiens was arrested at his Penticton home Wednesday morning and charged with a breach of his conditions. He is awaiting trial on a second-degree murder charge for the Aug. 16, 2011 shooting death of 55-year-old Lynn Kalmring.

Wiens was let out of jail in September on a $50,000 bail agreement and was ordered to live with his brother. However, it's believed the sibling moved away from Penticton months ago.

The accused killer is scheduled to make his next court appearance on the murder charge later this month.
