Raw vegan banana ice cream sundae

Ice Cream

  • 3-5 large frozen bananas, roughly chopped

Process the bananas in a food processor until smooth. Alternatively process the bananas in a vita mix blender using the tamper, until smooth. Garnish with chocolate sauce and toppings. Eat immediately.

 

Raw Chocolate Sauce

  • 1/3 cup maple syrup
  • 1/4 cup cacao powder
  • 2 tablespoons almond butter
  • 2 tablespoons warm water
  • 2 tablespoons melted coconut oil
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 teaspoons carob powder
  • Pinch of salt

Blend all ingredients in a blender or whisk together in a jar until smooth. Store in the fridge for up to one week.

 

Toppings

  • 1/2 cup diced strawberries
  • 2 tablespoons cacao nibs
  • 1 tablespoon raw almond butter
