The Vancouver Park Board has postponed its decision around a controversial skate park in the Mount Pleasant neighbourhood.
The board concluded last night that it would wait to decide whether to demolish the park until further study and consultation is done.
Board Chairman John Coupar says the community has been very vocal about the facility and staff want to take more time to come up with the best result for everyone.
Dozens of people lined up at the meeting to voice their concerns about the park, but the board chose not to hear from speakers until a later date.
