Two more people have come forward to police with sexual abuse claims against a man who spent more than a decade working with a Metro Vancouver youth baseball association.

In September, 60-year-old Richard Glendinning of Vancouver was charged with indecent assault, sexual assault and gross indecency against male and female children in the elementary to high school age range.

At the time, police suspected he may have more victims because of his close proximity to children between 1985-1995, when he was affiliated with the Tsawwassen Amateur Baseball Association.

On Thursday, Delta police issued a statement saying its investigation had advanced because of the information about the suspect distributed to media, and the department had sufficient evidence to pursue charges.

"Two additional victims have been identified and come forward to the Delta police," said Const. Sharlene Brooks.

Glendinning was arrested without incident Wednesday and is due to appear in court on new charges of indecent assault and sexual assault.

Brooks said the new alleged victims are boys in the elementary to high school age range. A publication ban on the case prevents many details of the allegations from being printed.

Delta Police first received information about the suspect in December 2009 "regarding alleged incidents of sexual assault" in previous years, Brooks said.

Police are renewing their call to anyone who may have been a victim of sexual abuse by Glendinning to contact the Delta Police Sexual Offences Section at 604 946 4411, ext. 5253.
