Police are seeking witnesses after a dramatic crash in Surrey that has left a three-year-old in serious condition.

The crash happened at Highway 10 and 168th Street around 10 p.m. Thursday night.

Police say a Honda Civic was turning left onto the highway when it was struck by an Audi A4.

The impact ripped the Honda in half and covered the intersection in debris.

The driver of the Honda, the child’s mother, and the Audi driver were taken to hospital with injuries but have since been released.

The young girl in the back seat was airlifted to Children’s Hospital in critical condition, but her condition has been upgraded.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation, but drugs and alcohol have been ruled out as factors.

Surrey police are still probing whether speed contributed to the accident.

A spokesperson told CTV News they believe there may be witnesses to the collision and are urging them to contact Mounties at 604-599-0502.
