Vancouver police have arrested one suspect and are hunting for another after a 71-year-old woman in a wheelchair was robbed in broad daylight in Yaletown.

The victim was using an ATM near Pacific Boulevard and Davie Street the afternoon of June 28 when two men approached her then forced her to make a cash withdrawal and hand it over.

The senior was shaken but not injured, and managed to share details about the robbery with police.

Officers couldn’t find any suspects in the area, but after speaking to other witnesses and finding video evidence managed to track down one 27-year-old suspect on Thursday.

Vancouver resident Mark Weldon has since been charged with robbery.

Police said they have also recommended charges against a second 27-year-old, but haven’t been able to locate him yet.

The second suspect’s name hasn't been released, and police said they aren’t providing further details.
