A secluded one-acre island just two hours from Vancouver has just hit the real estate market for the first time in two decades.

Lamb Island, which is just north of Sechelt on B.C.’s Sunshine Coast, has been in the same family for 20 years, but they’re looking for a new owner.

The island is just 500 feet from shore and the sale includes a private pontoon tender to shuttle you back to dry land – not that you’ll want to.

The main three-bedroom, three-bathroom home has undergone several updates since being built in 1976, but the real gem of this property is the outdoor space.

The dwelling is surrounded by 2,200 square feet of patio space with manicured gardens, multiple seating areas and a hot tub perfectly placed to take in the views overlooking the inlet and other islands.

“It’s unique,” realtor Jay McInnes told CTV News.

“You get great properties with views and a waterfront, and in towers with amazing views and they’re on levels of exclusivity but something like this doesn’t come along every day.”

There’s also a two-bedroom guest cabin with its own private hot tub as well.
