At least nine people in Abbotsford have been injured after a seemingly random series of attacks by a young man wielding a pellet gun.

Police say between July 18 and 27, there have been 15 pellet gun attacks and assaults at various locations in the city.

Four female and five male pedestrians have been struck and injured by someone shooting from a dark-coloured sedan. Homes and vehicles have also been struck.

The suspect is described as a young man between 18 and 25 years old. All of the incidents occurred between 3 p.m. and midnight.

“These attacks on people and property appear to be completely random,” said Const. Ian MacDonald.

The detachment has released images of the suspect vehicle taken from surveillance footage in hopes someone recognizes the vehicle.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Abbotsford Police Department at 604-859-5225 or call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
