Mounties are asking the public to help identify a man suspected of filming a family in the change room of a Coquitlam pool last month.

The RCMP said the family was changing at the Poirier Sports and Leisure Complex the evening of Sept. 9 when they noticed someone apparently trying to record cell phone video of them.

The alleged voyeur was aiming the cell phone through an opening between the change room floor and the bottom of a cubicle divider the family was behind, according to Mounties.

“After getting dressed, the victim advised a staff member of the incident,” the RCMP said in a statement. “The staff confronted the man and he left the complex quickly afterward.”

Mounties said they have conducted an exhaustive investigation, but still haven’t been able to track down the culprit. On Thursday, the RCMP released suspect images taken from the facility’s security cameras in the hopes someone will be able to help identify him.

The suspect is described as a white man, possibly in his 20s, who is six feet tall and has short brown hair. He was carrying a gym bag and wearing a black ball cap and black T-shirt with “Hollister Surf” on the front.

Anyone with information on his identity is asked to call the Coquitlam RCMP detachment at 604-945-1550, or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS to remain anonymous.
