A 21-year-old man is recovering in hospital after being stabbed during a brawl in Vancouver’s West End neighbourhood early Wednesday morning.
Police said they were called to a fight involving about 20 people near Davie and Burrard streets around 3 a.m.
Const. Brian Montague said a young Richmond man suffering multiple stab wounds was found at the scene and rushed to hospital.
“He received significant injuries, but they are not believed to be life-threatening,” Montague said in a statement.
Police also stopped a number of people in the process of fleeing the area on foot and in cabs and cars.
They were detained briefly and identified, but no arrests have been made in the incident.
